In the Kharkiv region, Defense Forces have destroyed Russian equipment on the bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskol River and continue to eliminate enemy infantry.

This was stated in a comment to a "Dumka" correspondent by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

According to him, the Russian bridgehead south of Dvurechnaya in the Kupiansk direction is being reduced by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Only enemy infantry remains in this area.

"As for what we know: all assaults there have been repelled, and the enemy's equipment has been destroyed. Only their scattered infantry remains, dispersed in the forests and along the forest belts. Of course, our military is detecting and eliminating them. The goal is to completely clear the right bank of hostile presence," said the head of the Regional State Administration.

Synegubov emphasized that the enemy's attempt to cross to the right bank of the Oskol River was not made to stretch the Defense Forces, but rather to attempt a breakthrough.

"This is not a diversion. They are trying every opportunity. Wherever they manage to establish a foothold and create a certain bridgehead, they will concentrate and deploy their main forces there. Initially, this involves reconnaissance and sabotage groups, followed by even more troops. They have been using this tactic since last year," Synegubov noted.

Recall that earlier the 8th Special Operations Brigade of the 10th Special Operations Brigade "Edelweiss" published video showing a comprehensive operation to destroy the enemy's bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskol River near the village of Novomlynsk in the Kharkiv region. This bridgehead was established by the Russians in the second half of November when they crossed to the right bank using boats.

The second bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskol River was formed by the occupiers south of Dvurechnaya.
