The Russian terrorist army has begun shelling Kharkiv with a new type of UAV – "Molniya-1".
This was reported by the spokesperson for the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, Dmitry Chubenko, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to him, the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv was shelled by the occupiers on November 12 around 14:00.
"This is a strike with a new type of weapon for Kharkiv. In this situation, the Russians used a loitering munition of aircraft type, namely: 'Molniya'. It is a small UAV that is very simple in its design and inexpensive to produce. It is made from plywood and plastic," Chubenko said.
He added that the range of the "Molniya" is up to 40 km, with a warhead weighing 3-5 kg of explosives.
Chubenko emphasized that such UAVs cannot achieve military objectives, but they can terrorize the local population. "Civilians walking on the streets and those in their apartments are getting injured," noted the prosecutor's representative.
In the Saltivskyi district, two women were injured: one sought medical attention for acute stress reaction, while the other had fragmentary wounds.
In the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, the occupiers carried out shelling at 15:38. Here, a 60-year-old woman was injured by glass. The strike was carried out by the UAV "Molniya".
