Concealing weapons and grenades, a driver attempted to pass a checkpoint unnoticed in the Kharkiv region.

In Kharkiv region, a canine unit of the Slobozhansky guards stopped a Mercedes w124 at a checkpoint with weapons.

This was reported by the 5th Slobozhansky Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the NGU, on October 1 at 17:00, a mobile canine unit of the Slobozhansky guards stopped a Mercedes w124 for inspection at a checkpoint near the settlement of Korotych.

During the search of the personal belongings of a 38-year-old passenger, the senior canine officer, along with the service dog Tor, discovered: an AK-74 assault rifle, 510 cartridges of 5.45 caliber, two F-1 grenades, and two universal fuses.

The national guards called in an investigative operational group from the National Police of Ukraine to the scene.

Another incident of illegal weapon transportation occurred on October 21 at 12:30 at a checkpoint entering Kharkiv from the city of Chuhuiv.

The national guards stopped a minibus "Velykyi Burluk - Kharkiv". The service dog Veta discovered two grenades, one universal fuse, and three smoke grenades among the personal belongings of a 28-year-old passenger.

The investigative operational group from the National Police was called to the scene, and the dangerous items were confiscated.
