A 37-year-old man is set to stand trial in the Kharkiv region, suspected of systematically raping his underage adopted daughter for 8 years.

This information was reported by the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to investigators, a resident of the Lozova district began abusing his adopted daughter in 2016. When the crimes started, the girl was just 7 years old. The man committed sexual acts when he was alone with his daughter and subsequently instructed her not to tell anyone about it. The abusive actions continued until August 2024, when law enforcement authorities uncovered his crimes.

The suspect is currently in custody. He will be tried in the Lozova district court of the Kharkiv region. The accused faces a life sentence.
