In Kharkiv region, a fraudster deceived people out of their money by pretending to offer evacuation services.

In the Kharkiv region, law enforcement has uncovered and announced charges against a fraudster.

This information was reported by the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the police, a 38-year-old man with a previous criminal record posted a fake advertisement on one of the websites offering to evacuate people, animals, and belongings from frontline areas. Over the course of several months, he deceived at least 12 individuals, causing losses amounting to 48,000 UAH.

The perpetrator has been formally charged with committing fraud. He faces a potential sentence of up to eight years in prison.
