The State Emergency Service reported five fires caused by Russian shelling in the Kharkiv region: Here’s what we know.

In the Kharkiv region, five fires occurred within a day due to Russian shelling.

This information was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the State Emergency Service, the fires, which were caused by the shelling from the occupiers, broke out in the Kupiansk, Berestivsk, Izium, and Bohodukhiv districts of the region.

On February 19, Russian aviation bombed the city of Kupiansk. As a result of one of the strikes, a private residential house was destroyed and caught fire. The area of the fire was 10 square meters. Nearby residential buildings were also damaged. Rescuers retrieved the body of a deceased man born in 1965 from the rubble.

At another location, an outbuilding was on fire covering an area of 50 square meters. There were no casualties. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Additionally, the State Emergency Service personnel were involved in inspecting the area after the shelling in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv. As a result of a drone strike, equipment of an enterprise and vehicles were damaged. There were no casualties.
