Moon Star Shoes by Antonio Vietri ($19.9 million)

The Moon Star shoes by Antonio Vietri are currently the most expensive ever created. They feature a sandal silhouette on a metallic silver platform with a thick sole. The foundation of the pair notably includes sculptural heels made from solid gold, along with twisted embellishments of 30 carats of diamonds. The dazzling style also incorporates Argentine meteorite from the year 1576. They were first showcased in 2019 at MIDE Fashion Week in Dubai.

The price tags of the Italian master Antonio Vietri's footwear typically range from thousands to millions of dollars. In 2017, he made headlines for his men's loafers, which featured a woven upper made of 24-karat gold, selling for over $26,000 (men's) to more than $32,000 (women's). Such a high price is attributed to the exclusivity of the materials and the use of precious stones.

Passion Diamond Shoes by Jada Dubai and Passion Jewellers ($17 million)

These high-heeled shoes are crafted from gold, leather, and silk, adorned with nearly 240 diamonds, with the toe of each shoe topped with a pure D-color diamond weighing 15 carats. The pair of Passion Diamond Shoes is currently located at the Burj-al Arab hotel.

Debbie Wingham Shoes ($15.1 million)

British designer Debbie Wingham unveiled these ultra-luxurious Diamond stiletto shoes in 2017 at the Dubai Raffles Hotel Tea Time event. Commissioned by an unnamed family from Dubai, UAE, for a birthday celebration, they resemble a cake. Her creation was a collaborative effort with Chris Campbell, a contemporary artist from Florida. The shoes are adorned with gemstones, including rare pink diamonds weighing 3 carats and blue diamonds weighing 1 carat. Additionally, there are four diamonds weighing 3 carats and 1,000 pointer diamonds set in platinum. The pair also features gold soles and zippers, as well as 24-karat gold paint on the leather. The stitching was done with 18-karat gold thread and is embellished with gold thread inlays. The shoes were finished with a rose gold accent and a leather Iranian jasmine flower at the center of the shoe.

Creating this extravagant masterpiece required both designers over 100 hours.

Shoes Thrown at President George W. Bush ($10 million)

A pair of shoes thrown at then-President George W. Bush during a press conference in 2008 is among the most expensive in the world. The shoes belonged to Iraqi journalist Muntadhar al-Zaidi. His shoes carry a significant value of $10 million. This price emerged after a 66-year-old Saudi man was willing to pay this amount for both shoes, which he referred to as a "medal of freedom," and even planned to sell all his property just to purchase them.

The company believed to have made the shoes recorded a surge in sales, with orders reaching 300,000 in a week due to online games inspired by the shoe-throwing incident.

Harry Winston Ruby Slippers ($3 million)

Created in honor of the 50th anniversary of "The Wizard of Oz," the pair of ruby slippers by Harry Winston is valued at $3 million. While they differ from the original shoes in the film, this pair is adorned with 1,350 carats of rubies and 50 carats of diamonds.

It took artisans approximately two months to manually stitch all 4,600 ruby stones to the shoes.
