Member of Parliament from the "Servants of the People" party, Maryana Bezuhla, reacted to the speech of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, in which he, among other things, blamed Ukrainians for the onset of the war. The politician recalled the meme about the Russian ship, which sank to the bottom of the Black Sea following a soldier's wish from the Armed Forces. Bezuhla shared her assessment of Trump's statement on her Telegram channel.

Bezuhla's message appeared online around 2 AM on February 19, four hours after the American president's speech. She suggested that Trump should "go after the Russian ship." The specifics of what in his speech provoked such a response were not detailed by the politician. However, she noted that she has the right to make such a statement, as she learned about freedom of speech from Americans.

"Sorry, but I must suggest to Mr. President of the USA to go after the Russian ship," — Bezuhla wrote.

Trump's Statements — Speech on War, Zelensky, and Negotiations

It should be noted that on the evening of February 18, Donald Trump spoke at his residence in Florida and announced the outcomes of the meetings between US and Russian delegations in Saudi Arabia. According to Trump, Russia is trying to end the war, while Ukraine is not. Additionally, the American president did not confirm whether Ukraine would receive military assistance from the US. In his opinion, all the assistance has been embezzled. Trump also accused Ukrainians of starting the war, claiming their inappropriate behavior supposedly provoked Russian President Vladimir Putin. He recounted statements from Russians that they are not attacking Ukraine with full force, but could strike harder. Furthermore, he stated that President Vladimir Zelensky is illegitimate, has only 4% public support, and therefore elections must be held.

On the page of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on the social network X, in response to Trump's statements, a message about Russian crimes was posted. According to the Ukrainian government, Russia has committed 156,712 crimes against Ukrainians.

We remind you that on February 18, Vladimir Zelensky warned the global community that the Russian-Ukrainian war could turn into a second Afghanistan. Additionally, the Ukrainian president commented on the ultimatums from Russia and negotiations in Riyadh.
