A priest echoed Elon Musk's "salute" during a speech, leading to his removal from the clergy by the church (video).

Anglican priest and representative of the right-wing UK Independence Party (UKIP), Kelvin Robinson, mimicked Elon Musk's gesture made during the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump on January 20. The gesture, which social media users interpreted as a "Nazi salute," concluded his speech at the National Life Summit in Washington. He shared a video of his speech on his X (formerly Twitter) page.

"Every country in Europe embraces death. America, as far as I can see, is the only country still fighting for life. And that depends on you guys. So may the Lord bless you for what you are doing. Please keep doing it," Robinson says in the video.

He repeated a gesture resembling a "Nazi salute" made by the American billionaire, stating: "I hope to encourage you, and my heart is with you." The audience responded with applause.

In a note accompanying the video on his page, the Anglican priest complained about receiving hundreds of calls, comments, and messages from "very angry, hateful, vile leftists."

"They often do exactly what they accuse you of. I am not a Nazi. But I forgive your ignorance. My heart goes out to you!" wrote Robinson.

The Anglican Catholic Church responded to the controversial video, announcing that Robinson's license had been revoked and he is no longer a priest of the ACC. Members of the College of Bishops stated that Robinson's attempts to gain favor with American followers of right-wing ideology by provoking their opposition are incompatible with the priestly vocation.

"Moreover, we understand that this is not just an administrative matter. The Holocaust was an episode of unspeakable horror perpetrated by a regime of evil people. We condemn Nazi ideology and anti-Semitism in all its forms. We believe that those who imitate a Nazi salute, even as a joke or an attempt to 'troll' their opponents, diminish the horror of the Holocaust and belittle the victims who fought against its perpetrators. Such actions are harmful, divisive, and contrary to the principles of Christian mercy," the church stated.

Elon Musk himself referred to the attacks against him as "dirty tricks" by the opposition Democratic Party and expressed that he is tired of accusations of "everyone being Hitlers."

Recall that on January 27, media reported that Musk's sister was attacked by haters due to her brother's "Nazi" gesture.

On January 24, the Dutch publication EenVandaag released survey results indicating that some Tesla owners are willing to sell their electric cars due to Musk's actions.

Also on January 24, media reported that leftist activists in Berlin created a viral photo of the entrepreneur with a raised hand at Musk's factory, adding the caption "Heil."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to Musk's gesture on January 23, calling the billionaire's accusations of Nazism "a false slander" and thanked him for supporting the Israeli people after the attacks by Hamas terrorists.
