A 29-year-old resident of the USA, Mila Horton, decided to quit her job and pursue her dream of traveling with her beloved. To achieve this, she and her husband, Jermaine, chose to convert a regular truck into their home, as reported by the British tabloid The Sun.
The woman shares that she worked as a cart driver at the airport, while her husband was employed at a delivery company. After their wedding in 2019, the couple decided they wanted to live life on their own terms—traveling together.
Mila explains that when they set out to customize the truck, they made sure it was comfortable for themselves: a double bed, a convenient kitchen, cabinets, a plasma TV, and a refrigerator. The couple even purchased a gaming console and insulated the truck to comfortably withstand any weather.
"We don’t get tired of each other; instead, we enjoy our time together. I feel like a 'princess passenger' when we are on the road," Mila admits, adding that thanks to Jermaine's flexible job in the logistics company, they have managed to visit almost all the states in the USA and several provinces in Canada.
While on the road, the woman tries not to distract her husband, who listens to podcasts and audiobooks while driving. Meanwhile, Mila keeps up with her blog on Instagram, reads, and creates videos for social media.
Mila confesses that the hardest part for her was cleaning and washing dishes while on the road. However, over time, she adapted, and now her biggest challenge is dealing with the laundry that needs to be done during their stops on the journey.
"Watching my husband and how he works, I try to support him in every situation. That’s why mutual respect and the ability to overcome challenges have only strengthened our relationship. The key to life on the road is being able to adapt and respect each other's personal space," Mila candidly shares.
