During the martial law and mobilization period in Ukraine, the issue of deferment from mobilization remains relevant for many citizens. In 2025, certain categories of individuals are eligible for this right, and the lawyers from the law firm "Inseinin" explain the details.

Certain categories of military personnel and their families are also eligible for deferment:
Moreover, reserved employees are also entitled to deferment. However, it should be noted that enterprises with critically important status must confirm this status by February 28, 2025. If the necessary documents are not submitted, employees of such enterprises will lose their right to deferment from mobilization.
Deferment is granted for a specific period based on the reason—most often for a duration of 3 months, with the possibility of extension. After this period, it is necessary to re-confirm the right to deferment by providing the relevant documents to the TCC and SPC or by using the mobile app "Reserve+".
Starting Friday, February 7, the mobile app "Reserve+" introduced automatic extension of deferments from mobilization for certain categories of the population. From this day forward, individuals with disabilities who possess the relevant certificate from the Pension Fund, as well as students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates can have their deferments automatically extended.
Additionally, it is important to note that in some cases deferment from mobilization may be revoked. This can occur even automatically.
