"Destroyed": Ukrainian paratroopers claim complete elimination of North Korean units near Kursk.

The fighters of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have eliminated all North Korean military units that were within the brigade's area of responsibility in the Kursk direction. This was stated by Senior Sergeant of the Communications Department of the 80th Air Assault Brigade, Pyotr Haidashchuk, in a comment to "Espreso."

"Even under artillery fire and drones, the North Koreans continued to advance towards us. However, despite their training, all these units were destroyed, and at the moment there are none in the area of responsibility of the 80th Air Assault Brigade," Haidashchuk said.

He explained that the DPRK soldiers are already well-acquainted with the terrain, primarily did not use vehicles, and moved on foot over long distances of up to 15 km.

According to Haidashchuk, the Russians are currently employing tactics of small assault groups, as large waves of infantry with armored vehicles are ineffective in modern warfare with unmanned systems.

"The enemy is using artillery, reconnaissance and attack drones, as well as fiber-optic FPV drones, which creates certain challenges that we are successfully addressing. Guided aerial bombs predominantly fall on populated areas of Kursk that are under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, Russian troops are attempting to displace us from our positions, despite the fact that civilians from the Russian Federation reside in these villages," Haidashchuk emphasized.

Recall that on February 19, one of the captives revealed that North Korean soldiers are being convinced that they are fighting against South Korean soldiers.
