"At Ukraine's expense": The Bundestag revealed the dates of meetings between Scholz, Trump, and Putin.

Politician Roderich Kisevetter, a strong supporter of Ukraine, has warned that negotiations could "de facto signify submission." He emphasized that the focus should be on adapting to Kyiv rather than Moscow.
"В ущерб Украине": Бундестаг обнародовал даты встреч Шольца и Трампа с Путиным.

Member of the German Bundestag Roderich Kiesewetter shared when German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and elected U.S. leader Donald Trump will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This information comes from his post on social media platform X dated January 4.

"We must prepare for a surprise in the election campaign: it requires courage, knowledge, a clear stance, and a sense of direction. There are increasing signs that Chancellor Scholz will travel to Moscow or meet with Putin before February 23," the politician noted.

According to him, for Ukraine, the implementation of plans means, among other things, a suspension of the Paris Charter for 10 to 20 years. He emphasized that it will be indicative to see how Ukrainians and European neighbors respond to this.

"Currently, a meeting between Trump and Putin is scheduled for March. Let everyone assess this as they see fit. Ukraine should not be an object or a victim," Kiesewetter stressed.

He assured that despite Russia's influence, there is a need to "adapt" to Ukraine, rather than the aggressor country.

"All negotiations and agreements currently taking place in this situation are detrimental to Ukraine and de facto imply subjugation. (...) One cannot remain silent, and the so-called 'Moscow connection' within one's own ranks cannot be accepted either," the deputy stated.

Kiesewetter's Position on Ukraine

As noted on the Bundestag's website, 61-year-old Roderich Kiesewetter studied economics and served in the German Armed Forces, where he held command and staff positions (including being a battery commander and battalion commander). He is now a retired colonel. Throughout his political career, Kiesewetter has worked at the EU Council and NATO headquarters.

On January 3, the politician declared that the deployment of German peacekeepers to Ukraine is inevitable. According to him, excluding this option would be criminal negligence.

Earlier, in early 2024, Kiesewetter emphasized that Russia is bringing war to the world and called for the destruction of enemy military facilities and headquarters. He referred to the leader of the aggressor state, Vladimir Putin, as a dictator who "thoughtlessly sacrifices hundreds of thousands of his soldiers in a horrific bloodbath." The deputy also supported the delivery of TAURUS missiles to Kyiv.

In 2023, Kiesewetter advocated for the mobilization of Ukrainian men living abroad to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He noted that the government could assist with this by reducing aid.

We remind you that Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon claimed that the hot phase of the war in Ukraine would end by the end of 2024, but his prediction did not come true. On January 1, Gordon announced new dates for the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. leader Donald Trump.

President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed that he hopes for a personal meeting with Trump after his inauguration on January 20. He noted that topics for discussion would include the terms of a ceasefire.
