This week, Ukraine may lift power outage schedules, according to an expert who outlined the necessary conditions (video).

In Ukraine, power outage schedules may be canceled by the end of this week. This was stated by energy expert and chairman of the Ukrainian Renewable Energy Association, Stanislav Ignatiev, during a broadcast on "Kiev24".

According to him, the cancellation of restrictions may be influenced by the weather, the completion of emergency repairs, and the absence of new large-scale attacks by the Russian Federation on the energy system.

"There will be restrictions during morning and evening hours, but only for one shift. Given the current state of the energy system, this is a relatively good indicator. If there are no significant shelling incidents, we expect to complete certain restoration works by the end of this week, and if there are no severe frosts—which, according to forecasts, are not expected—this will allow us to avoid implementing schedules until the end of the week," said the expert.

It is worth noting that two transformers in Kyiv caught fire, leaving thousands of people in the Borshchahivka district without electricity. Specialists see a pattern in this incident and predict that similar situations will occur due to network overload.

Additionally, it has been reported that there is a deficit in Ukraine's energy system. This means that the load is too high for the generation and networks damaged by the strikes of the Russian aggressor. As a result, the operator "Ukrenergo" must implement outage schedules.
