A man from the Kupiansk district has been found guilty of collaborating with Russian authorities in the Kharkiv region during the temporary occupation of the area.
This information was reported by "Dumka" based on the ruling of the Chervonozavodsky District Court of Kharkiv.
The court in Kharkiv issued a verdict against a resident of the Kupiansk district, who, during the occupation of the city of Kupiansk, took a position in an illegal authority.
It was established that a resident of the village of Nechvolodivka, while working as a guard in the Kondrashevsky village council, agreed in June 2022 to become the "acting senior inspector on duty" in the occupying administration. His responsibilities included maintaining the visitor log and controlling access to the administrative building.
The accused admitted his guilt, and the court imposed a penalty: a 10-year ban on holding positions in government or local self-government bodies.
This case serves as yet another example of how law enforcement agencies in the Kharkiv region continue to hold accountable those who collaborated with the enemy.
