In the Kharkiv region, customs officials uncovered a deal involving the import of spare parts at an undervalued price of 1.7 million UAH.
This was reported by the Kharkiv customs, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to the customs, the goods were declared by the head of a Kharkiv LLC. The man indicated "Parts for agricultural tractors" in the customs declaration, where the rate is 0%. The total value of the goods amounted to 1.7 million UAH, with the country of origin being China.
Upon classifying the goods, customs officials determined that the classification did not match the declaration. The declarant should have paid 5% instead of 0%. The amount of unpaid duties could total 60,000 UAH.
The customs noted that through his actions, the declarant violated Article 485 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, which entails a penalty ranging from 50% to 150% of the unpaid customs duties.
