Ukrainians who do not own smartphones can apply for and receive 1,000 hryvnias of winter eSupport, even if they only have a feature phone. This information was reported by the publication "On Pension," referencing a comment received from PrivatBank.
"If you have a feature phone, you can contact the bank to submit an application for opening a bank account, to which the 'thousand from Zelensky' will be credited. A customer service specialist at any branch will assist you with this. You will need to bring your passport, identification code, and mobile phone," the message states.
Once the card is ready, a bank employee will call the client to inform them when they can come to the branch to pick it up.
"This will be a physical plastic card that can be used for purchasing Ukrainian goods, medications, and paying utility bills. It will not be possible to withdraw cash from it," PrivatBank representatives explained.
Currently, the financial institution is still in the process of issuing cards, but they are not yet being distributed.
It is worth noting that earlier, Ukrainians who had already submitted applications for receiving funds under the "Winter eSupport" program, commonly referred to as the "thousand from Zelensky," began to receive them. However, some citizens have encountered issues with purchasing goods — the bank is refusing to process transactions.
Additionally, it was reported that citizens receiving subsidies or pensions through "Ukrposhta" will be able to receive the "thousand from Zelensky". However, they will not be issued cash as part of the program.
