Russian occupiers launched missile strikes on Kyiv during the second wave of a massive air attack. The city's air defense systems were operational. This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.

Initially, the KVMU reported attacks from enemy drones approaching from multiple directions, followed by warnings about the threat of cruise missiles targeting Kyiv, urging citizens to seek safe locations.

"A missile is heading towards Kyiv from the southeast. Take cover. The air alarm continues! Air defense is active in the capital," stated the military administration.

Residents of the capital were also warned that "Ukrenergo" is implementing emergency power outages due to a massive combined attack by Russia on energy facilities.

City dwellers heard several explosions, and the KVMU reported debris falling.

"As a result of the missile strike by Russian forces on Kyiv, debris has been recorded falling in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital. Preliminary reports indicate it landed in an open area. No information on casualties or damage has been received. Data from the operational report is being clarified," noted KVMU Chairman Serhiy Popko.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration also confirmed the operation of air defense systems and urged citizens to remain in shelters.

Recall that on the night of November 27 to 28, Russia carried out a massive shelling of Ukraine. The air forces warned of potential launches of cruise missiles from seven Russian strategic bombers Tu-95MS.

The Russian Armed Forces have made stockpiles of missiles for strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, aimed at waging war against civilians during the cold season, according to the President's Office.
