In the Kharkiv region, there are reports of people being evacuated, receiving assistance, and then returning home under shelling.
This was stated on the air of "Obshchestvennoe" by the chairman of the Board of the Charitable Organization "Coordination Humanitarian Center," Yevgeny Kolyada, as reported by "Dumka."
"Most people, for instance, from the Borovskaya community, after receiving aid, return back, and this is a major issue because we want to preserve their lives. Due to the shelling, we do not recommend this. Currently, the regional council is making decisions regarding mandatory evacuation, as well as the forced evacuation of children," Kolyada noted.
He emphasized that such actions are extremely dangerous. Moreover, it undermines the efforts of volunteers, police, and rescuers who risk their own lives.
"For what? So that a person returns only to be picked up again?" he expressed his outrage.
According to him, from November 1 to 26, it was possible to evacuate 2,906 people, specifically: 2,045 from the Borovskaya community, 604 from Kupiansk, and 159 from the Kurilov community. This process involves 47 organizations.
People are picked up within 24 hours after receiving a request. The evacuated individuals receive financial support, assistance in settling down, clothing, shoes, food, etc. Humanitarian hubs are also operational.
