"Not prepared for war": Podolyak identified the only way NATO can defeat Russia (video).

If Russia maintains the same pace of militarization as it has today, NATO countries will have no chance in five years. Therefore, the only way to defeat the Russians is through Ukraine. This was stated by Mikhail Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the President's Office, in an interview with Freedom TV.

"NATO countries have a significant amount of weaponry, which is much more effective, but they are not ready to use it. Consequently, if in five years Russia continues its current pace of militarization and authoritarianism, NATO will have no chance," Podolyak said.

He emphasized that what surprises him the most is the "total psychological unpreparedness" of the Alliance member states for war within the next 3-5 years, as it is precisely during this time frame that the Russian Federation will be ready to attack NATO.

According to Podolyak, this unpreparedness is also felt in the Kremlin, which is why they are constantly raising the stakes and disregarding taboos and rules of warfare.

"(Russia, — ed.) is preparing the ground if it does not lose in Ukraine now. Therefore, the only way to defeat the Russian Federation is to achieve victory through Ukraine, meaning Ukraine can do it," Podolyak stressed.

He also clarified that if Ukraine fails to defeat Russia, NATO countries "should prepare for extremely severe consequences."

Recall that on December 16, Polish Vice Admiral Krzysztof Jaworski stated that Russia is disrupting communications in the Baltic Sea and is watching how NATO will respond.

In November, Mikhail Podolyak stated that the scenario of dividing Ukraine into three parts is currently unfeasible, while the division of Russia is quite probable.
