American actor Matthew McConaughey, along with his wife Camila, starred in a new advertisement for their tequila brand Pantalones, where the man appears in a blazer and shirt, but without pants. The corresponding photos and videos were posted on his Instagram page.
In the clip, the couple recreates the poster of the 2003 romantic comedy "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," but with a different title: "How to Get Rid of Pants in 10 Ways."
Camila McConaughey is dressed in a yellow silk dress, reminiscent of the one worn by Kate Hudson in the original film.
The tequila brand also introduced 10 signature cocktail recipes inspired by the film, including "Love Fern Margarita," "Benny Boo Boo," "You’re So Vain," and "Yellow Dress."
This advertisement is the latest release of the "official tequila" campaign from the McConaughey family brand. In August, the couple released an ad for Labor Day, where they mowed the lawn without pants. They also played cricket, hosted a poolside barbecue, and engaged in pickling in their videos.
Matthew and Camila launched their brand in the fall of 2023 with Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo. The award-winning tequila line is "designed to celebrate fun, do good, and not take life too seriously."
In its first year on the market, their Añejo tequila recently received the top honor at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, a double gold award—given when all judges unanimously agree it is the best in its class. Their Blanco tequila also won a gold medal, while Reposado received a bronze.
