16-year-old Knox, the youngest of six children of actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, made his red carpet debut alongside his mother, without any siblings. They attended the 2024 Governors Awards ceremony together, reports WWD.
Mother and son posed for numerous photographers on their way to the Ray Dolby ballroom.
For the event, Jolie chose a vintage shimmering gold strapless dress, purchased from The Knit Vintage. The sheer white skirt of the dress features a high waist with a mohair overlay, embellished with gold beads on the neck straps. The boho-glam look includes a lace-up corset that ties at the back. The actress paired the outfit with open-toe heels, a chunky diamond necklace, and dangling silver earrings.
The Knit Vintage boutique praised Jolie's decision to step away from a well-known brand and highlighted her genuine passion for vintage design.
"What makes this moment most meaningful for us is knowing how much of a true lover, fan, and supporter of vintage she is. Every time Angelina shops with us, she comes in person. She's very present, engaged, and selects each item. She has never had a stylist holding her hand or FaceTiming with a friend. She surrounds herself with vintage, inspired by what she will wear next," the store noted.
Knox looked elegant in a black tuxedo, white shirt, and bow tie. He smiled at photographers and chatted happily with his mother. Additionally, they interacted with other Hollywood celebrities, including Pamela Anderson, Demi Moore, Nicole Kidman, and Elizabeth Olsen.
The event, organized by the Academy's Board of Governors, honors the late Quincy Jones, James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, director Richard Curtis, and casting director Juliet Taylor.
Returning to Jolie, it is worth noting that during the promotion of her new film "Maria," she has frequently showcased vintage outfits.
