Kharkiv boxers won numerous awards at the European Championship in Serbia.
This was reported on the Telegram channel KHARKIV SPORT CITY, as conveyed by "Dumka".
It is noted that the competitions took place from November 16 to 25 in the Serbian city of Loznica among Balkan countries, where Kharkiv athletes secured four gold and three bronze medals. A total of 190 athletes from 13 countries participated in the event.
Seven boxers represented Kharkiv in the Ukrainian national team. All of them emerged as winners or medalists of the championship.
The gold medals were earned in the youth age category. The winners included: Oleksandr Zverev (weight category up to 51 kg), Maksym Zymenko (weight category up to 54 kg), Bohdan Chelydyk (weight category up to 60 kg), and Mykola Laktyonov (weight category up to 86 kg).
In the men's competitions, third places were secured by: Ruslan Tsykalo (weight category up to 63.5 kg), Vyacheslav Brihadenko (weight category up to 75 kg), and Kyrylo Stoyanchev (weight category over 92 kg).
As a result of the competitions, the Ukrainian team won 16 gold, 14 silver, and 10 bronze medals, finishing in second place overall.
