Kharkiv police are searching for the driver who fatally struck a man and are urging witnesses to come forward.

In Kharkiv, authorities are searching for a driver involved in a fatal traffic accident who fled the scene.

This information has been reported by the communication department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the police, on January 7, 2025, at approximately 16:39, a report was received by the police stating that on the ring road of Kharkiv - near house No. 52 on 92nd Brigade Street, a vehicle struck a pedestrian. It was revealed that the 32-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by persons driving vehicles, resulting in the death of the victim).
