Residents of Kharkiv won awards at the Ukrainian Boxing Championship.

Kharkiv athletes won one gold and 33 bronze medals at the Ukrainian boxing championship for boys and girls.

The competitions took place in the Chernivtsi region. The champion of Ukraine became Vera Vasylenko (weight category up to 57 kg). She successfully reached the finals, where she defeated her opponent from Dnipropetrovsk region.

The bronze medalists were: Anastasia Hubina (weight category up to 48 kg) and Elvira Kiske (weight category up to 51 kg). The athletes were prepared for the competition by their coaches Sergey Verkhohdanov, Vyacheslav Nezhentsev, Yanis Kurilenko, and Ruslan Holovenko.
