Ukrainian forces executed a powerful double missile strike against a concentration of Russian troops in the Zaporizhia region, which preliminary reports suggest resulted in the death or injury of dozens of soldiers. This may have occurred on Saturday, November 18, or earlier, writes Forbes.
"Perfect hit! HIMARS accurately targets several dozen Russian infantry in the Tavria area of the Vasylivka district in Zaporizhia. The fighters of the 15th Separate Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade 'Black Forest' and the aerial reconnaissance units of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade once again demonstrated a high level of operation," — noted journalist Yuriy Butusov.
A Ukrainian drone detected a group of Russian military personnel and equipment near a forest strip. In response, Ukrainian artillery utilized American HIMARS rocket systems, launching at least three M30/31 missiles. According to Butusov, the explosions inflicted significant losses on the enemy.
Later, as Russian troops attempted to evacuate the wounded, Ukrainian forces delivered a second strike — likely with an M30 missile equipped with submunitions. This double strike enabled the Armed Forces of Ukraine to halt the advance of the occupiers in the region.
According to data from the Center for Defense Strategies, Russia is attempting to increase pressure in the Zaporizhia region and plans to capture the village of Temyrivka by March. This village is located at the intersection of the Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions.
Recall that from October 23 to 25, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed two Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile systems and one 9S36 radar from the Buk-M2 air defense system.
On November 1, fighters from the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade, together with aerial reconnaissance units of the 'SkyForce,' struck a logistics point of the Russian Armed Forces in Zaporizhia using GMLRS missiles and 155 mm caliber shells.
