According to a survey conducted by the "New Europe" center, Russian leader Vladimir Putin tops the list of foreign leaders whom Ukrainians trust the least. His distrust rating stands at 95.9%. In second place is Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko with a score of 91.4%, while Chinese leader Xi Jinping occupies the third position with 84.6%.

This information is reported by Glavpost, referencing the website of the “New Europe” center.

The list of leaders whom Ukrainians have the greatest distrust towards also includes:

1. Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary — 79.5%.

2. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the UN — 59.4%.

3. Olaf Scholz, Chancellor of Germany — 56.8%.

4. Donald Trump, former President of the USA — 47.2%.

The survey covered 1,000 respondents from November 15 to 27, excluding the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. The margin of error does not exceed 3.1%.

The high level of distrust towards the Russian and Belarusian leaders is attributed to their direct involvement in the war against Ukraine. As for Xi Jinping, Ukrainians view China as a country that, while maintaining neutrality, effectively supports Russia.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also face criticism. Many Ukrainians believe that their approach is insufficiently decisive regarding assistance to Ukraine.

In this context, it is worth noting that Zelensky did not want to speak with Trump about Ukraine's NATO membership – media reports on the specific reason.
