According to Zakharova, Zelensky's statements are aimed at concealing the true state of affairs for the Ukrainian army. Additionally, the Russian diplomat traditionally accused the Ukrainian military, which controls part of the Kursk region, of "neo-Nazism."
"Zelensky makes such statements to hide the real scale of the disaster for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this direction," Zakharova stated.
Previously, the Ukrainian president noted that Kyiv is willing to consider the possibility of territorial exchange with Russia in the event of genuine negotiations to end the war. He mentioned that the territories of the Kursk region, currently under the control of Ukrainian forces, could play a significant role in the diplomatic process.
Moscow has yet to make any official statements at the state level, limiting its response to comments from foreign policy representatives. Nevertheless, the Kremlin consistently rejects any assumptions about revising borders in favor of Ukraine.
