Rutte is confident that military support from allies, including the United States, is a crucial factor in ensuring Ukraine's ability to defend itself.
“Although Russia has achieved some success on the eastern front, these gains have come at too high a cost. I admire the ingenuity and creativity of the Ukrainian forces, particularly in their use of drones for effective resistance,” Rutte stated.
According to the NATO Secretary General, Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be able to achieve his objectives in Ukraine. Rutte believes that when Kyiv is ready to negotiate with Russia, those talks will be conducted from a position of strength on Ukraine's part.
