New statements from Zelensky are reported by Glavpost, referencing the YouTube channel of the Polish publication Onet.
Zelensky emphasized that without Ukraine's efforts, the chances for European countries to resist the Russian army are close to zero.
“As of today, without the Ukrainian army, EU troops have no chance. If Ukraine cannot defend itself, Putin will quickly move forward,” the president noted.
Zelensky highlighted the necessity for EU countries to significantly strengthen their armed forces and increase weapons production. He believes this is essential not only for supporting Ukraine but also for deterring Russian aggression. The President of Ukraine also mentioned that Russia poses a threat not only to Ukraine but also to countries like Poland, Romania, as well as the Baltic and Scandinavian states.
Zelensky expressed hope that the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump would exert significant pressure on the Russian leadership to bring an end to the war and ensure real security guarantees for Ukraine.
