The front-line situation is reported by Glavpost, referencing the ISW report.
In the southeast of Sudzha, near Russian Konopelka and Fanaseevka, Ukrainian troops executed maneuvers that enabled advancement along the 38K-028 Sudzha – Oboyan route. These actions are supported by geolocation footage released on February 9. ISW analysts note that such operations significantly strengthen the positions of Ukrainian forces in the region.
In response, the Russian side has conducted counterattacks northwest of Sudzha, in the areas of Sverdlikova and Nikolskoye, as well as in other zones near Cherkasskaya Konopelka. However, experts emphasize that the active actions of the AFU complicate the plans of the Russian army in these areas.
Significant successes have also been recorded in the Kharkiv region, near the city of Volchansk. Footage published on February 8 demonstrates the advancement of Ukrainian forces towards the Volchansk aggregate plant, located in the central part of the city. These operations highlight the ability of Ukrainian forces to adapt to rapidly changing conditions on the front line.
Meanwhile, Russian troops have continued offensive operations near Volchansk and reported "actions by sabotage and reconnaissance groups" in the Liptsy area. However, ISW emphasizes that the successes of the Ukrainian military in both directions confirm the effectiveness of their strategy and a high level of coordination.
